About the Author…

Mary B. Turner, Ph.D.

Dr. Turner is a practicing clinical psychologist in Dallas. She received her doctoral degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center at Dallas where she holds a clinical faculty appointment in addition to her private practice. Although her primary area of psychotherapy is working with individuals who are in grief and individuals who have been victims of crime, she has, in the course of her training and work experience, seen the full range of criminal offenders—from compulsive shoplifters to child molesters and murderers. She is a member of the International Coalition of Forensic Counselors. Before writing this novel, Dr. Turner researched the lives and crimes of known serial killers both in the United States and in England.

Dr. Turner's book, Whispers of God, won 2nd place in the 2000 Opus Magnum Discovery Awards for best new book or screenplay at the Hollywood Film Festival.

About The Book…

Whispers of God is a novel composed of the types of events seen in actual cases. The characters, themselves, are all fictional and not intended to represent any specific individual. The events that occur, however, are the real things that happen when a serial killer is stalking a town.
